PrEP or PEP?
What’s the difference?

PrEP stands for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis
PrEP is the use of antiviral drugs as a strategy for the prevention before exposure to HIV.
PrEP is a protection for people who don’t have HIV but need extra protection against HIV

PEP stands for Post-Exposure Prophylaxis
PEP is the use of antiviral drugs as a strategy for the prevention after exposure to HIV.
PEP is an emergency protection for people who recently had a potential risk of HIV infection
We only provide PrEP for MSM. We do not provide PEP. If you’ve been recently exposed, please go to an emergency clinic!
